4PM

KnowCom’s 4PM is a tightly integrated group of software modules addressing the challenges of modern production, inventory control, and planning for contract led Make and Engineer To Order businesses.

The system is menu driven and is designed to be easy to operate. The menus and operator security functions employed by the system are specified through simple file maintenance procedures and may be easily modified by the user (or system administrator). Operator instructions are available via on-line with context-sensitive help.

The standard file maintenance functions of enter, change, delete, inquire, print, as well as database features such as mass-change, mass-delete, and ad-hoc custom file listing generation by selected criteria are provided for each of the system's master files.

Free-form text and scanned attachment functionality is provided, allowing text and/or images to be attached to data records throughout the system (select files, i.e. inventory master file allow drawings and item specifications to be additionally attached).  Import and export data functions are provided to assist in the exchange of data with other hardware/software or database systems.

Reports are available in printed or on-screen form. Data can be exported to Microsoft products such as Word, Powerpoint and Access. Each of these features contributes to convenient access to pertinent information.

Transactions are posted as they are entered in order to maintain the most current information at all times.

System management functions are also included for the maintenance of the system's data files, menus, security specifications, and operating parameters.
